Last Saturday we went to the Aloha Festival in Midvale. The boys made bookmarks from palm fronds, we ate shave ice, and watched the halaus perform. It was a fun family day with a little culture thrown in. However, it began with Aaron whining that he didn't want to go to the Hawaiian Festival because he said, "I don't like Hawaiians." So much for having a cultured child. He forgot he's Hawaiian.
