Attempt Number One

Merry Christmas to me-I got a sewing machine last week. Here is my first attempt at making something. I thought I would practice on a baby doll dress and work my way up to making Lani a dress. I think I went backwards because it is so hard to sew in the little nooks and crannies. Maybe I'll try Lani's dress next. Luckily, Lani hugs her baby so tight that you can't see the imperfections.

Oh yeah, sewing is just like painting. The bigger the better. It looks great! Makes me almost want to break out my sewing machine, well almost. Maybe next year ;)

that's really cute! You've done a fabulous job and that's a great idea too to make little doll dresses first. I made some robes for the kids for christmas and they're really cute from about 10 feet away. We gotta start somewhere! Can't wait to see you guys in two weeks!!!

I am so thrilled you have a blog too! I think it is great way to keep in touch if it gets us talking more than Christmas cards! LOL
