13 days!

The countdown has begun. No, not for Hawaii. (We're going to Hawaii in April). 13 days left until Brad is done with school and I no longer feel like single mom with live-in boyfriend. 13 days until my kids get their daddy back! I mean, he will still have a never ending list of stuff to do, like finish our house..., but no more getting home at 10:30 or 11pm. No more going days without my boys actually even seeing their dad. (Brad pretty much is at school Mon-Wed, and sometimes Sat.) So the other day we made a paper chain til Daddy's end of school date, but Ian's not so good at not destroying things and it was in pieces five minutes later.

Updates

For Presidents Day, we went to the Discovery Gateway Museum and made it to the second floor this time. FYI, never go to a Children's Museum on a holiday. The crowds, the long lines, the crying (by me), need I say more? I think I need one of those funny leashes they make for kids with the stuffed animals for Ian. I think I lost him three times. Anyway, here's a few shots showing the times that I knew where all my kids were.

Now for my little Lani. Being kind of the blob that her current stage puts her in, I do not have enough pictures of her up here. She is the most adorable little baby and despite her rolls she feels so tiny to me compared to her brothers'. She is finally healthy again and has figured out how to reach for things and roll all over the floor. I can't help it, I just adore her and love to dress her up for any occasion, and may have had a fashion show with her this past weekend to decide what to wear for church. Maybe.

No More Snow!

I just want to agree with Jami. Please let the snow stop. I'm tired of the cold, the shoveling, getting stuck at the end of my driveway, and having to pick Aaron up at school in the middle of a white out (because we got special permission to be there, we also live the farthest away). Ian, our ball of energy, won't even go out to run off some steam because he hates being in the cold. I'm getting a little crazy being cooped up. Here is a pic of the huge snow drift outside my front door: Can everyone see the line of snow behind my boys? (That's how tall it is.)

Happy Valentines Day

I thought it would be fun to continue our sugar cookie tradition so here's some pictures of my creative boys. Unfortunately, I was unable to capture Brad's talents on camera. Whenever we do anything like this (pumpkin carving, Christmas cookies, etc.) Brad is always the last one done because he makes things just so, what a perfectionist. Anyway, it was a fun family activity.

Not For the Faint of Heart

I'm sorry for the gross pictures. Brad insists we share. The past week has been the worst week ever for us and maybe from reading this someone can feel a little bit better about theirs. Here's a little recap: First, Lani was sick all week-

Monday: 2am, Ian is up for the day.
7pm, Neighbor's birthday party-Aaron poops and throws up at the same time

Tuesday: 1:30pm, While eating lunch, Brad nearly chokes on a chunk of roast beef. It becomes lodged in his esophagus.
3pm, We arrive at the doctor's office-30 min later they send us to the ER.
6:45pm, An emergency endoscopy is performed.

Wednesday: 9:20am, Lani's doctor's appointment- we are doing the right things, no idea why she's still throwing up after 6 days-try soy formula.
12pm, pick Aaron up from school-back into the car parked behind me (not in a parking space). No real damage done, but was it an accident or a little rage at the lady illegally parked right behind the car already in reverse so she can run in closer to the school building?

Thursday: 11am, I tried to solve the mold problem in our van by cutting out the carpet, which resulted in a sliced finger.
3pm, Urgent Care finally has time to close the slice with four stitches, two of which are through the fingernail.

Friday and Saturday pass without incident, giving us hope for next week.

Sunday: 5am, Ian wakes up for the day with a fever.
11am, Brad takes his temp twice and I take it once within a 30-min period. 102.6, 102.0, 102.7.
4pm, Fever is gone and Ian is back to bugging everyone as best he can. Looks like everything is back to normal...

Uncle Belly comes to town!

(Uncle Belly is my brother.) Two weeks ago my brother came to town and we visited some fun places and got to see little miss Arie who is not so little. She and Ian were a pair-they like to just walk by each other and just push each other down. Good thing they're both so tough. We visited Discovery Gateway (thanks for the year pass Spence and Jeni) and the Aquarium in Sandy.

Hanging Tough

Just thought I'd share some recent pics of my boys. Just so you know, Brad comes home at lunch everyday and this is about the only time he has to play with the boys. Also, my neighbor makes these great capes and lately, we can't go anywhere without them. (Aaron sometimes sneaks out the door all the way to school without me noticing his cape under his jacket.)
